the world is still grappling the turn of events in Afghanistan in August 2021 following the withdrawal of US and NATO troops after nearly 20 years of military operation in Afghanistan, the Taliban now controls the country with sophisticated weapons they captured from afghan soldiers of over 300.000 that did not put up any resistance fight, they capitulated so easily and President Ashraf ghani also fled out of the country to avoid being captured by the Taliban. people from across the globe are still very much concerned about the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan, Taliban with their twisted religious ideology and draconian rules will cause serious havoc and mayhem, they will clampdown on protesters and anyone that challenges them, more than 120.000 people were airlifted with the help of 6000 US soldiers that were sent to Kabul airport for evacuation, our fingers are crossed as we wait to see the countries that will recognise the Taliban government.
